About Wes
Meet Wes Oberman, a certified professional dog trainer and veterinary technician with over seven years of experience working with dogs and horses both in emergency and general practices. Wes is passionate about using reward-based training and behavior modification techniques that are both humane and effective. Her training methods were inspired by her mentor, Lindsey Lieberman, who taught Wes how to achieve incredible results with even the most challenging dogs using clicker training and consent-based methods.
Wes has a diverse background with animals, having worked as a horse trainer and trail guide in addition to her experience with dogs. She holds a bachelor's degree in equine science from Colorado State University, where she was awarded the "Legends in the Making Scholarship" for demonstrating excellence in horse training.
As a volunteer service dog trainer for Pawsitive Teams, and with prior experience working as a trainer for the SD Humane Society, Wes is committed to ongoing education and professional development. She believes that every dog is unique and requires a tailored approach to training and behavior modification.
Wes is excited to help you and your furry friend strengthen your bond and enjoy the many joys of connection and adventure together.
